daily lives. WHOOP Labs is the central research organization at
WHOOP, supporting both in-person and distributed research across
product, R&D, and clinical initiatives. As the Distributed and
Quantitative Research Specialist, you will be a key contributor
within WHOOP Labs, supporting the growing demand for surveys,
intervention studies, and other remote research initiatives through
Digital WHOOP Labs (DWL). This role sits at the intersection of
research execution and research operations, with a strong focus on
enabling high-quality, scalable studies for stakeholders across
WHOOP. This position reports to a Senior Human Factors Manager and
is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on research execution,
stakeholder collaboration, and building rigor into large-scale
distributed studies. This is a W-2, Temporary role through the
remainder of 2026, with an hourly pay range of $34 - $36.
Candidates must be prepared to work in person at WHOOP Labs in
Boston, MA 5 days each week. RESPONSIBILITIES: Learn and maintain a
deep understanding of the current and future capabilities of
Digital WHOOP Labs (DWL) and other survey and research platforms
available to WHOOP Labs Serve as a primary point of contact for
incoming distributed research requests, meeting with stakeholders
to understand research goals and translate them into effective
study designs Support design of research protocols that align
appropriate remote research methodologies to learning goals to meet
stakeholder needs Partner closely with senior researchers to refine
research scopes and ensure studies are feasible, rigorous, and
aligned with best practices Own the executional details of
distributed research, including survey review, backend study setup,
and facilitation of live and ongoing studies Review
stakeholder-created surveys for quality, clarity, and adherence to
quantitative research and survey design best practices Monitor
active studies, troubleshoot participant issues, and communicate
bugs or system limitations to internal tooling and technical teams
Interact directly with WHOOP members via Salesforce to resolve
issues related to distributed studies and device connectivity
Support operational workflows that enable DWL to scale as a core
quantitative research platform across WHOOP Regularly report study
progress, risks, and executional challenges to the broader WHOOP
Labs team QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Social Science,
Psychology, Public Health, Social and Behavioral Science, Human
Factors or a related field. 2–3 years of experience in quantitative
research, product research, or a related research-focused role
Strong foundation in survey design and quantitative research
methods, including consumer-grade and mixed-methods approaches
Experience with cross-functional stakeholder management and
translating research needs into executable study designs
Familiarity with distributed or remote research platforms; clinical
research experience is a plus UX research experience is a
nice-to-have, but not required Strong organizational skills,
attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple concurrent
studies Comfortable working with internal tools and member-facing
