Company Overview: Dyne Therapeutics is discovering and advancing
innovative life-transforming therapeutics for people living with
genetically driven neuromuscular diseases. Leveraging the
modularity of its FORCE⢠platform, Dyne is developing targeted
therapeutics that deliver to muscle and the central nervous system
(CNS). Dyne has a broad pipeline for neuromuscular diseases,
including clinical programs for myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1) and
Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) and preclinical programs for
facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) and Pompe disease.
Role Summary: The Research Associate in the Neuromuscular Research
Group will be responsible for conducting preclinical research to
develop novel therapies with the goal of providing functional
improvement in people living with neuromuscular disorders. The role
supports the execution of multiple research projects and will
collaborate closely within the Neuromuscular Research team and
cross-functionally. This role requires a results-driven mindset,
the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and a strong
desire for personal and professional growth beyond comfort zones.
This role is based in Waltham, MA without the possibility of being
fully remote. Primary Responsibilities Include: Execute in vitro
and in vivo studies to support PK/PD and mechanism-of-action
analysis of therapeutic candidates, including but not limited to:
Executing molecular biology assays to assess gene and protein
expression Performing routine cell culture and cell-based assays
Performing in vivo pharmacology procedures, including but not
limited to routine rodent handling, blood and tissue collection,
necropsy and processing Maintain accurate and detailed records of
experiments and results in electronic notebooks Analyze and
organize data diligently and proactively communicate experiment
progress to team members in a timely manner Actively contribute to
experimental design, assay development and optimization, and
project discussions Education and Skills Requirements: BS/MS or
equivalent in a biology, neuroscience, or relevant discipline 1-3
years of direct biotech/biopharma or academic experience
Proficiency with molecular and cellular biology techniques
including: Handling biological samples, especially cell or tissue
samples Sterile techniques, routine mammalian cell culture and
cell-based assays Protein isolation from biological samples and
detection by methods such as Western blots and ELISA Nucleic acid
extraction and gene expression analysis Experience in working with
rodent models, including but not limited to: Basic rodent handling
Blood and tissue collection and necropsy Exceptional attention to
details and a strong track record of experimental rigor Excellent
organizational skills and diligent with record keeping Highly
motivated teamplayer with excellent communicational skills
Experienced in the use of software applications such as Prism,
Image J, Excel, and PowerPoint LI-Onsite The statements contained
