Join our team todayPosition Summary:Set up and operate the chemical etch line to etch various materials with various patterns based on Engineering procedures and requirements. May be assigned to the flattening area to set up and operate one of the pull through or power flatteners to straighten single bonded coil strips.Responsibilities:* Inspect, measure, and record material characteristics.* Monitor, adjust and record operating parameters* Set up the equipment per SOP as required for each material to be process* Understand and comply with route card.* Inspect material for surface imperfections and take actions as defined in SOP* Select, set up, run, and complete orders on computerized worklists.* Use various types of joining equipment, such as welders, to join coil ends.* Identify and correct areas of deficiency prior to start up of the equipment, and while running.* Use hand held measuring instruments.* Maintain acceptable level of housekeeping order and cleanliness in area* Maintain production records and make data entries into computer systems* May require use of forktruck and overhead crane and hoist systems* Wear all required PPE at all times* Other duties as requiredEducation and Experience:* High School or Equivalency Diploma preferred* Basic Shop Math* Ability to read and understand written instructions in English* Ability to use hand held measurement instruments* Experience operating continuous metal strip processing equipment preferredEMS is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits harassment of any kindPowered by JazzHRNlGpJiUtQd
