Job Description:
What you will be doing: Support trial attorneys with personal
injury, workers’ compensation, and social security disability
insurance cases in State and Federal Courts. Prepare general legal
correspondence, motions, and objections. Prepare medical evidence
for trial. Assist with discovery and document management. Serve and
file legal papers in various courts, with familiarity with
electronic filing systems in both State and Federal Courts. Utilize
communication skills via email and phone with clients, court staff,
opposing counsel, and social security offices. Utilize
organizational skills when preparing case files for attorneys to
use at court hearings. Experience you will need: At least 1-3 years
of law firm experience. Management of personal injury files.
Experience with contacting claims adjusters. Experience with
requesting, reviewing, and organizing medical records. Experience
with scheduling permanent impairment evaluations. Knowledge of
Court Rules and all discovery deadlines. Excellent administrative
skills with the ability to multi-task under pressure and
prioritize. Attention to detail and proofreading skills. Strong
computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Adobe,
Filevine, and scanning and maintaining electronic files is a
plus.
