Job Description:
About the job The IT Operations Automation Engineer is a
technical solutions expert responsible for developing,
facilitating, and overseeing automation for Hopper IT. This role
requires a "first-principles" thinker who can deconstruct technical
challenges into their base elements and rebuild them with automated
logic to drive operational maturity. What would your day-to-day
look like Build and maintain critical automation platforms, such as
an Automation Service Gateway , to standardize how services are
exposed and secured within IT Operations. Proactively identify
opportunities for automation and develop new processes following
best practices for development, test, and implementation. Partner
with stakeholders to replace manual workflows with scalable,
compliance-driven systems. Provide Tier 2 and 3 support and
troubleshooting, coordinating with vendors and internal teams when
elevated support is required. An ideal candidate has At least 4
years of experience in a similar role. Proven experience developing
scripts in Python, Terraform, or Bash . Solid understanding of GCP,
Okta (APIs and Orchestrator), and Google Workspace . Knowledge of
professional best practices for the full SDLC , including coding
standards, code reviews, source control management (GitHub), and
