Strong Telemetry Experience Description: Telemetry observation unit
is a 10-bed observation for patients who are being ruled out for
certain diagnoses. Patients typically have a stay of 24 to 48
hours. Diagnosis varies, usually medical with occasional overflow
surgical. No medication drips are administered in this unit.
Candidates must be able to function autonomously. This unit
operates with a patient ratio of 1:5. Weekend coverage is required,
with 2-3 shifts expected in a 6-week period. Clinicians will rotate
on-call during the night shift. Interdisciplinary support is
available from various departments including Physical Therapy and
Respiratory Services. Applicant should have experience with
charting systems, preferably Cerner. Background evaluations will be
conducted on a case-by-case basis. Return staff must wait one year
