(Preferred) Travel experience required Description: The role
involves providing care in a Labor and Delivery setting. Candidates
must have experience working with neonates and adults. The unit
consists of a 15-bed Labor and Delivery area. All infants room in
with their mothers following delivery. Newborn nursery services are
available for infants needing additional care. Candidates will
utilize the OMNICELL medication system for medication management.
Effective communication is vital using the SBAR method. Skills
required include amnioinfusion, antepartum care, and intravenous
management. The position requires expertise in assisting with
circumcision and vaginal deliveries. Candidates must support
breastfeeding and provide lactation education. General anesthesia
and sterility practices must be adhered to in patient care.
Recognizing and treating abnormal fetal heart rate patterns is
crucial. The daily census averages around 8 patients.
Interdisciplinary support teams are involved, including physical
therapy and respiratory services. The role demands flexibility with
scheduling, including weekend coverage every other week. Knowledge
of the facility’s patient ratio and procedures is essential.
