Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/19/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ER Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts with guaranteed hours of 36 hours for 3-12 hour shifts or 48 hours for 4-12 hour shifts • Every other weekend requirement • Patient ratio of 1:4-5 • 2 years of experience required • Will consider first-time travelers with 2-3 years of experience and Epic or Cerner experience • Required certifications: Massachusetts state license, ACLS, BCLS, PALS • Cerner charting system experience preferred • Community hospital experience preferred • No floating required within scope • No on-call requirements • Block schedule availability determined by unit needs • Any color scrubs permitted (no jean material) • Free parking available in unrestricted spaces or across the street • Care for patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Daily census of 130-150 patients per day in 21-room, 31-bed emergency department • Skills include blood product administration, central line care, continuous IV sedation, triage, and procedural sedation monitoring • Standard contract length is 14 weeks • Must have Massachusetts license in hand at time of submission Facility: This acute care hospital is a 127-bed community hospital that provides comprehensive emergency services for complex medical patients across all age groups. The facility features a 21-room, 31-bed emergency department with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. The hospital utilizes Cerner charting system and maintains high standards for patient care in a community hospital setting.
