Job Description RN - Charge Nurse Full-time & part-time
Location: Newport, Rhode Island Schedule: 1st Shift, 630am- 230pm,
24 hours a week - Monday, Saturday, Sunday 2nd Shift, 2:30 to 10:30
pm, 32 hours weekly 3rd shift, 1030p-630p, full-time every other
weekend The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing care
to patients while adhering to compliance standards. This candidate
should be able to recognize patient needs and prioritize those
needs with the needs outlined by physicians. Responsibilities -
Keep abreast of current federal and state regulations, as well as
professional standards. - Participate in discharge planning -
Perform administrative requirements, such as completing necessary
forms, reports, etc., and submitting such to the Director of
Nursing as required. - Refer resident/families to appropriate
social service personnel when the facility does not provide the
service needs of the resident. - Prepare the CNA assign. and
explain all pertinent resident care information to the CNAs. -
Receive report from the previous shift, count narcotics with off
going shift and accept keys. - Admit new residents. Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse - Minimum 2 years of RN
experience.
