Associate Director of Nursing or their designee, supervise the
delivery of patient care and the administration of services for
Yale Medicine Administration clinics in Yale Physician's
Building.Principal Responsibilities
- Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of patient care and
nursing services in multi-specialty physician practices.
- Assign responsibilities and duties as related to appropriate
licensure and experience of staff member.
- Evaluate staff performance based on professional practice
standards and development.
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement corrective
actions in order to promote a productive and healthy work
environment.
- Interview, hire, and train clinical staff.
- Ensure all clinical staff maintains required training
skills.
- Responsible for operating within approved budget.
- Obtain and assess vital signs, patient history, medications and
other pertinent demographic information and log all data into
records according to practice policy and standards.
- Evaluate and present patient history and diagnosis to physician
using concise and accurate verbal communication.
- Assure all procedures for maintaining patient confidentiality
are maintained per HIPAA guidelines.
- Provide patient education about various health care topics and
medications.
- May perform other duties as assigned.Essential DutiesEvaluate

ExperienceBachelors' degree and three years of related experience
or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Required
Skill/Ability 1Demonstrated effective strong management ability
utilizing proven supervisory skills among multiple disciplines,
including cross coverage. Provide intermittent assistance with
clinical emergencies, until a transfer to higher level of care, is
in place.Required Skill/Ability 2Superior interpersonal skills to
interact professionally, providing exceptional customer service to
patients, staff, and physician's department administrators. Ensures
patient care procedures performed follow policy and procedure
standards and HIPAA standards.Required Skill/Ability 3Strong verbal
and written communication skills with proven ability to
successfully communicate the objectives, practices, and mission of
the organization. Accountability in reporting to the AND or the
designee any operational activities, and implementations.Required
Skill/Ability 4Proficiency with MS Office and other related
software used in healthcare administration. Assists and has
knowledge of patient intake and how to record medical history that
will assist clinicians in creating treatment plans and follow up
care.Required Skill/Ability 5Strong organizational skills and
knowledge of nursing care standards with proven ability to manage,
implement and train on a regular basis.Preferred Education,
Experience And SkillsFive years acute, ambulatory or long-term care
nursing experience and 1-2 years supervision and/or management of
clinical nursing staff of all levels in said setting. EPIC
experience preferred.Required Licenses Or CertificationsRegistered
