Job Description:

Participates as a team member in the implementation of the nursing process in collaboration with the Registered Nurse. Responsible and accountable for a group of patients spanning all ages, cultures and disability concerns for a designated time frame. Functions within policies, practice guidelines and nursing standards of Sturdy Memorial Hospital in accordance with the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act, CDC and OSHA standards, and any other applicable regulatory or accreditation agency.Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience: Minimum of 3 years of Clinical Nursing experience Excellent Clinical Nursing skills Ability to provide quality of nursing care as part of a comprehensive care team. Successful completion of orientation Provides nursing care to assigned patients according to the Hospital's philosophy of patient care and standards of nursing practice. Maintains clinical competency. Promotes patient and family education. Works collaboratively with other health care professionals in providing outcome-oriented care.Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience: Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and adaptability, creating a favorable image in relationship to the Nursing Department and the hospital as a whole. Must develop and maintain positive relationships across all areas of responsibility. Must visibly demonstrate commitment to customer relations and all basic concepts of continuous quality improvement and preventing error from reaching the patient.Educational Requirements: Graduate of a Licensed Practical Nurse ProgramLicense/Certification: Current Massachusetts licensure BLS competent Unit specific certificationsAge Specific Criteria: Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.Sturdy Memorial Hospital is an equal employment opportunity employer.
