(SOESD) is seeking a highly collaborative Chief Information Officer
to lead multiple technical teams supporting teaching, learning, and
various organizational needs. The ideal candidate should have a
strong background in information systems development, design, and
implementation, with proven experience in software development,
data visualization, and reporting.The position emphasizes
supporting educational outcomes, promoting organizational
efficiency, and delivering innovative, cost-effective, stable, and
secure services.The CIO will manage fiscal, technical, and human
resources to support services such as:
- Academic and operational data systems
- Data visualization and custom software development
- Delivery of SaaS
- Technical infrastructure including data centers, networking,
online learning, video conferencing, VoIP, security, wiring, and
help desk servicesAs part of a collaborative leadership team, the
CIO will implement strategies to improve student outcomes through
technology, supporting curriculum, instruction, assessment,
classroom technology, online learning, and early warning data
systems.Qualifications include extensive business and technical
skills, experience with student information systems (preferably
Synergy), business systems (Visions), HR systems (Frontline),
VMware, and educational technologies. The candidate should also be
capable of cost modeling, ROI analysis, and deploying innovative

Shakespeare Festival.Position DetailsPosition Goal: Manage
technology infrastructure and services to support SOESD, districts,
and organizations.Essential Functions:
- Provide regional leadership supporting federal, state, and
local initiatives.
- Coordinate programs aligning with SOESD and district
priorities.
- Manage technology infrastructure and service delivery for
teaching, learning, and administrative functions.
- Collaborate to interpret, forecast, and meet changing needs
with valued services.
- Develop and market entrepreneurial services to increase
revenue.
- Manage resources to ensure effective service delivery.
- Oversee projects with cost models, milestones, and
budgets.
- Support technical programming and database maintenance.
- Present effectively to diverse audiences and facilitate
stakeholder consensus.
- Lead, supervise, and evaluate staff.
- Manage budgets and professional relationships.
- Adhere to organizational policies and participate in
professional development.
- Perform physical requirements with accommodations as
needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Prerequisites
- Valid Oregon Driver's License
- Oregon teaching or administrative license preferred
- A+ and Network+ certifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of staff/IT project management experience (5+
preferred)
- Strong communication and customer service skillsEquivalent
experience or training may be considered.Additional

ORLength: 260 daysSalary: $116,143 - $152,182 annually (2024-2025
