Advanced Development About the Role: We are looking for a Product
Design Engineer to join the Advanced Development team. What is
Advanced Development at SharkNinja? The Advanced Development team
works to define early-stage product concepts and develop them into
ideas ready for detailePr design. This space is fast-moving and
wide-ranging—some projects start with a clear idea, others with a
completely blank page. We collaborate across functions to identify,
ideate, define, and develop new products that are desirable,
feasible, and viable. What You’ll Do: - Contribute to early-stage
product development by supporting the creation of roadmaps and
building out concepts that expand our Ninja Cooking categories. -
Explore new product opportunities where the Ninja brand can win,
using a user-first mindset and sound engineering thinking. -
Generate innovative ideas within a collaborative and fast-paced
environment. You’ll contribute to brainstorming sessions, develop
concept sketches, and present compelling product stories. -
Visualize and prototype your ideas, using sketches, models, and
test rigs to communicate and validate concepts. You’ll work
hands-on in our development labs and be comfortable with both CAD
and physical prototyping tools. - Gather cross-functional feedback
to shape product direction, showing curiosity and openness while
defending strong ideas. - Test and evaluate key risks, developing
test methods to ensure products meet expectations before entering
detailed development. What You’ll Bring: - A balanced background in
creative thinking, technical understanding, and hands-on
problem-solving. - Creative: You can generate novel ideas and
communicate them through sketches or quick models. - Technical: You
understand engineering fundamentals across mechanical, electrical,
and manufacturing disciplines and can validate your ideas with
solid reasoning or basic testing. - Practical: You have a hands-on
approach and enjoy building prototypes and test rigs to bring
concepts to life. - Action-oriented: You work proactively, adapt
quickly, and maintain momentum even when challenges arise. -
Organized and logical, with the ability to prioritize and simplify
complex problems. - Approximately 3–5 years of experience in a
design or product development environment. - Experience in consumer
electronics or related fields is a plus. - Familiarity with
plastics and metals manufacturing processes. - Degree in Design
Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related
field. - Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or CREO.
