seeks an Engineer – Process Development (R1-R2) to aid in the
optimization of the manufacturing process for its encapsulated cell
therapy platform technology. Maintain the production of cell
therapy bioprocesses, develop improvements to current manufacturing
processes, and explore innovations. Perform standard protocols for
setup and maintenance of biopolymer encapsulation systems,
encapsulate cells in novel biopolymer systems, assist/lead in
experiments to support and optimize platform development,
cryopreservation, assay development, and upscale production, and
collect, analyze, interpret, and present data to multidisciplinary
teams. LI-DNI Position requires a Master’s degree in Chemical
Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field and 1 year
of experience with tissue engineering and biomaterials. Experience
must include a minimum of: 1 year of experience with cell culture,
cell seeding, cellular assays, and sterile techniques; 1 year of
experience with cell therapies, working in a wet lab and
involvement in biomaterials or related technique.; 1 year of
experience with encapsulation of cells in novel biopolymer systems;
1 year of experience with supporting and optimizing platform
development, assay development, and upscale production; and 1 year
of experience supporting qualification and risk assessment
activities for GMP implementation. Part time telecommuting may be

location. The anticipated wage for this position is $93,538
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company
bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
