Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. A school district in Waterbury, CT, is seeking two
full-time Special Education Teachers for the 2025-2026 school year.
This contract position is ideal for educators with a passion for
supporting students in an elementary school setting, specifically
for 5th and 6th grades. Responsibilities include: Delivering
individualized instruction and support to students with special
needs in accordance with IEPs Collaborating with general education
teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning
environments Conducting assessments and progress monitoring to
tailor instruction Maintaining accurate documentation and
communicating regularly with families and staff Ensuring compliance
with district and state special education regulations
Qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching certification
Previous experience working in a school setting is required Strong
knowledge of special education strategies and regulations Ability
to differentiate instruction and manage diverse classroom needs
Excellent communication and collaboration skills This role offers a
full-time schedule from October 2025 through June 2026, Monday
through Friday, with weekly hours ranging between 32 and 37.5. Two
positions are available: one to support 5th grade and another for
