Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. A middle school special education teacher position is available for a contract during the school year in Waterbury, CT, with responsibilities focusing on grade 8 case management. Responsibilities: - Manage individualized education plans (IEPs) for assigned students - Provide tailored instructional support to meet diverse learning needs - Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student growth - Monitor and document student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly - Maintain compliance with all special education regulations and policies Qualifications: - Valid special education teaching certification - Experience working with middle school students, preferably in grade 8 - Strong knowledge of special education laws and instructional methods - Effective communication and collaboration skills - Ability to manage case load efficiently and compassionately Location: - Waterbury, CT; middle school setting Schedule: - Contract position during the current school year - Hours: 7:50 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. Compensation: - Starting at $40 per hour This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student learning and development within a structured school environment.
