Job Description:
Delivers a suite of Web application functionality focused on
supporting digital marketing efforts. Uses business knowledge to
translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business
solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications
and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends
changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and
strategies to development experts and management. Primary Responsibilities: Maintain an understanding of and contribute to architecture,
software design, software development, quality assurance,
performance characterization and release engineering Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects
across multiple platforms. Provide leadership and technical expertise in software
engineering and systems analysis, ensuring business needs are
consistently translated into functional requirements and
solutions. Develop and lead in all aspects of software engineering and
system implementation including requirements gathering, capturing
business vision, design, configuration, customization, integration,
testing and support. Implement best practices with continuous integration, continuous
deployment concepts and Dev Ops practices. Define and implement application level architecture and best
practices. Develops applications on complex projects, components, and
subsystems for the division. Navigate and manage multiple multi-million development projects
concurrently. Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget. Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for
projects. Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables. Build and maintain outstanding relationships with business and
technology partners, effectively and strategically collaborating to
build product roadmaps and deliver on expectations. Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various
project/technology issues. Frequently perform team assessment and evaluate associates based
on goals and expectations. Lead, develop, coach and mentor
associates to form effective teams. Champion agile development best practices. Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical
evaluation estimates on technology initiatives. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional
initiatives. Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years
of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience
analyzing, developing, and testing Web based application and
middleware services according to Agile methodologies. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered
or three (3) years of experience analyzing, developing, and testing
Web based application and middleware services according to Agile
methodologies. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) in the full life cycle design --
analyzing, designing, developing, automating, testing, and
performing version control, disaster recovery, and
post-installation validation -- of Web applications, using Java,
Spring MVC, Spring Core, Spring Boot, and Angular JS and
service-tier technologies including, XML/XLST, REST Web services,
multi-threaded Java, and WebSphere/Tomcat. DE developing test plans and cases, using Behavior-driven
development (BDD) and Agile development methodologies for testing
Oracle SQL database (7+ terabyte) including, relational database
modeling. DE developing test automation scripts for SOAP and REST based
services, using Karate, REST-Assured, Parasoft SOA Tests, and
SOAPUI; and developing PL/SQL scripts for data mining, validation,
and setup libraries, using Spring JDBC and DBUnit. DE performing project, incident, problem, and change management
for Web applications, using Atlassian Jira, AgileCraft, and
