individual will join a collegial and collaborative team environment
within the Legal Department. The Investments Legal Team is seeking
an experienced legal operations associate with alternative
investments experience to support the Team's mandate in providing
expert advice to the Firm's investment professionals. The
successful candidate will gain valuable real-world investment
experience working alongside attorneys, operations professionals,
and investment professionals as they establish investment vehicles,
and negotiate investments into private, hedge and other funds,
managed accounts, and other investment products. Job Description:
Job Responsibilities The individual will be expected to perform the
following functions: Review, analyze and assess investment
documentation. Related responsibilities include: (a) the intake of
legal review requests and their associated documentation; (b)
assisting teams with gathering all necessary documents, prior
reviews, information and redlines. Assist with the formation and
ongoing operation of legal entities, including investment vehicles.
This work may entail maintaining and enhancing records, managing
closing checklists, assisting with filings, entity liquidation and
related matters. Track, record, maintain and update information
about our clients. May include recording tax, jurisdictional and
regulatory concerns and preferences, as well as required or
preferred terms. Maintain and enhance records of fund reviews and
side letters, such as (a) date of last review, (b) date of
documents reviewed, (c) type of clients previously invested and (d)
agreements pertaining to preferred fees and terms. Liaise with
Research, Investment and Operations teams to deliver and receive
information on investment products, timing, and other information.
Assist all members of the Legal Department on various matters.
Qualifications 2-4 years of paralegal or legal operations
experience is preferred Project management experience is required
Alternative investments experience is preferred Organized,
detail-oriented, deadline-focused, and happy to work in a
fast-paced investment environment. This individual should enjoy
organizing, managing, and improving systems and processes. Ability
to communicate and interact with peers and external contacts in an
effective, tactful, and professional manner Ability to deal
discretely with sensitive, confidential information concerning
clients and corporate affairs Bachelor’s degree from an accredited
four-year college Base salary range for this role: Pay Range
Minimum: 66800 Pay Range Maximum: 86800 In addition to the listed
salary range, this position is eligible for an annual
performance-based bonus and a comprehensive, competitive benefits
package. Actual placement within the stated salary range will be
determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and
