Job Description:
FamilyAid is Greater Boston's leading provider of solutions to
family homelessness. Our mission is to empower parents and
caregivers facing homelessness to secure and sustain housing and
build solid foundations for their children's futures. We prevent
homelessness whenever possible; reduce harm if homelessness can't
be avoided by getting families stably housed as quickly as possible
and mitigating trauma, especially for children; and provide
wraparound supports for children and parents that foster long-term
stability. FamilyAid provides children and parents with a path to
permanent housing via educational programs, housing search and
placement support, and connections to vital resources they need to
return to their own homes. We employ a two-generation (2Gen)
educational model that focuses on parents and children's needs,
teaching families how to quickly overcome the barriers they face to
return to stable housing. We have quadrupled in size in the last
five years and remain on an exciting growth trajectory to serve
more than 5,000 children and parents this year. We have launched
bold new strategies to reduce two-generation homelessness by
deepening and increasing our prevention, housing, and supportive
services for children and parents. Significant new funding powers
our strategic vision of serving more families through a deepened
2Gen approach that reduces homelessness's cause, scope, and impact.
Job requirements: A bachelor's degree in a related field is
required. A master's degree or significant experience in family
homeless services preferred. 3+ years professional experience
working in a social service setting. 3+ years' experience in
supervising, managing and leading teams. Bilingual in English and
Spanish preferred Familiarity working in a clinical setting.
Demonstrated success in applying evidence-based practices including
Trauma Informed Care, critical time intervention and motivational
interviewing. Ability to work in both office and field-based
settings with a diverse, homeless population. Excellent written and
verbal communication skills Flexibility and compassion essential
Proven ability to manage competing priorities in fast paced
setting. Experience in Homelessness Prevention and Diversion
Programing Experience with pre-tenancy and tenancy processes.
Experience working with Landlords and property managers. Experience
with subsidized/low-income/tax credits housing. Strong
understanding of the Boston and Metro rental market preferred. Our

support these strategies, the agency seeks a dynamic and driven
Housing Supervisor, Flex/Prevention Programs. The Housing
Supervisor will provide program leadership and supervision to a
team of housing specialists whose primary focus is to support
families who have been identified as needing assistance in their
housing. In addition to hiring, supervising, and evaluating housing
specialists, the supervisor will work with the Director of Housing
Search and Placement, Flex Program Manager, and other program
leadership to ensure successful implementation of agency, state,
and program policies to ensure implementation of agency and program
policies and practices to ensure the provision of high-quality
services to FamilyAid's families and children. The Housing
Supervisor will work in sync with program leadership and staff to
ensure client satisfaction and safety. They will respond to crisis
and follow agency and partner protocols related to incident
reporting and child safety. The Housing Supervisor will work with
staff to ensure housing attainment and retention to meet program
goals. Will support program management with data evaluation and
recordkeeping tasks as part of daily program operations. The agency

Conditions: Full-time, 40 hours/week, with flexibility to best meet
client and program needs. Some evening availability may be
